One of the quickest ways to get into a mountain of debt is to disregard the interest rates of the credit cards you are using. If you have a high interest rate and are using your cards frequently than you are paying a lot more money than you may think. The money you pay in interest really does add up over time and can cause you many financial headaches which could have been avoided. A lot of people who are willing to pay high interest rates either have bad credit or tolerate it because of the rewards program.

With all of the credit card deals out there, we can get sucked in if we do not think wisely. If you were to get a calculator and figure out exactly what you are spending each month (on the cards) you would be able to see how much money you are paying in interest. With the economy in the condition its in now many people are deciding to switch to a card with a lower interest rates. The most important thing you can do when hunting for a new credit card is to sit down and compare interest rates.

One of the biggest reasons people end up in too much debt is that they are only making the minimum payment each month. Sure you may be able to afford what you are spending (in some cases) but if you decide to make the minimum payments only you are delaying the inevitable & headed towards shark infested waters. For example, if you have the cash to purchase a $500 item and instead use you credit card you can actually afford what you are purchasing. Now when the bill comes in at the end of the month can you still afford what you purchased? This is something to think about. If you are spending all of your money before your credit card bill comes in than you really are buying things you cannot afford. The smart way to use your credit card is to buy things you know you can pay at the end of the month.

If you are purposely using a credit card to build up a solid history than make sure you are paying your balance off in full each month. When purchasing an item on credit it is a good idea to tuck your cash away in a safe place. In other words, pretend its not there. That way when the bill comes in at the end of the month you will be able to pay it off in full. When you make a minimum payment you aren’t really adding much to your credit anyway. Sure it doesn’t hurt once in a while, but by paying your balance off in full each month you are establishing good credit. You really should find the best credit card deals you can.

When you are using your card just keep in mind that you will have a bill at the end of the month. Do not use it if you cannot pay it off in full when your statement comes in. It’s crazy when you think about the majory of people using credit to make major purchases (like new furniture for example). It’s insane when you really give it some solid thought. We buy so many things that we simply cannot afford, and then we cry about being in debt years later. It’s a good idea to keep a credit card or two and use them only for emergencies and special occasions. Of course If you can afford what you buy than by all means keep using it. On the flip side, if you cannot afford what you a purchasing than do some soul searching. Don’t make the same mistake the people with a ton of debt made. Dare to be responsible. :o)

It can be pretty confusing for young people and students who are trying to establish credit for the first time. You are stepping into a whole new world and you must educate yourself before you end up doing something stupid. A good percentage of people who have bad credit end up ruining it within their first 2 years of adulthood (18+). We here at Kaile’s Credit Card Deals know this from experience. My very first card was made for students and it only had a $300 limit. I had no credit at the time, so I figured anything was good. I didn’t take the time to properly educate myself on how everything worked, and so I ended up with no so good credit years later. While I’m well on my way in repairing the damage, you can avoid it by doing some simple research.

It can be difficult when you step out on your own for the first time. You may be interested in getting your own home or apartment, but then find out you are not eligible due to insufficient credit history. It feels really insane at times. It feels like everywhere you turn you are getting denied credit, yet you cannot establish a good history if no one grants you it in the first place. If you find yourself in this situation then the best thing to do is to find a bank that grants cards to students. These cards are specifically designed for young people to use as their first credit card. Normally the limits are low at first. I’ve found the average limit to be between $300 and $500 but it can very depending on different factors.

If you are looking into getting your first VISA or Mastercard than please take your lifestyle into consideration first. If you are know you tend to be lazy and irresponsible a good majority of the time than don’t get one now. You need to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will pay your bills on time. Addionally, don’t look into getting one if you are unemployed. It does not make any sense to do this. Instead, make sure you have some kind of income coming in. Many companies only require you to pay the minimum payment each month, which is generally $10 - $25. Make sure you will be able to cover this. We’ll discuss minimum payments vs paying off your balance in full in another article, as their are pro’s and con’s to each.

When you are comparing interest rates just be honest with yourself. This will save you from a lot of mistakes many people end up making. Getting a credit card for the first time is a big deal, and it does not mean free money. You will have to pay every penny you spend back, plus interest. If you end up making a payment late, or don’t make a payment at all it will negatively effect your credit history. This will cause you many problems later on in life, especially when purchasing a home. Our economy is in a painful time right now, and companies are not as optimistic anymore when it comes to people with a bad history. You should do your research and find the perfect credit card deals that fits your short and longterm goals.

Credit cards are becoming more and more common and play a large part in the economy of the United States. Finding credit card deals does not have hard, in fact its quite easy if you know what you’re looking fore. The hardest part in the process of finding the best one is in deciding exactly what kind of card fits your personal and financial needs. The information used in determining the kind of card you need rests on several factors. For example the needs of a student would be different than the needs of a businessman earning 6 figures per year. The kind of deals you can get will depend on all of these factors.

You should try and find the kind of offers that will serve you in the long run. If you don’t need airline points, and could use a cash back program instead - than don’t go with the airline credit card. It’s pretty simple. You should have an action plan when it comes to looking up various deals on the internet. Make sure you get a card that you can benefit from. We here at Kaile’s Credit Card Deals aim to help you find the perfect card that fits your lifestyle. It is our goal to help you find exactly what you need.

Determining which offer is best for you:

As I mentioned earlier the first thing you need to do is decide exactly what type of incentives will help you in the short and long term. If you are just looking for a card with a decent APR than it’s going to be a lot different than if you were searching for a card with a nice incentive program. Incentive programs are great if you are planning on making large purchases. You should take a couple of minutes to write down exactly what kind of credit card deals will benefit you. Please take your time to read through the rest of this site, as I’m sure you will find something that interests you.

It’s crazy but the majority of people living in the United States are in debt. A lot of these people actually owe more money than they make in income every year. Its not uncommon for a person to posses multiple credit cards. From two to twenty of them, we here in America cannot get enough. Access to money we don’t have, store displays in every corner tempting us to purchase products we cannot afford. It’s really no wonder why most of us here in the U.S. are in debt. A lot of us are paying way to much interest rate on our cards already. This is why its a great idea to look around for the best credit card deals online.

You can find an almost unlimited amount of low introductory interest rates, why not consider switching to one of these? A lot of financial institutions are desperate for customers in these scary economic times we are living in. Of course your current card company may be snail mailing you and even filling your inbox with all kinds of special promotions to keep you as a customer. The question is, as luring as these offers are, would it be a wiser decision to switch to a completely new company? This very well could save you money - its something to think about.

There are also tons of unfamiliar companies emailing us constantly with their latest offers. When you get offers in your email box are you the type of person where you jump into it without giving it much thought - or do you carefully think it out and weigh out all of the options you have? You really should consider looking into other credit card deals from the companies that are not filling your inbox with junk. Lets face it, most banks love to repeatedly inform us about their latest offers. Its wise to come to the realization that there are literally thousands of different offers out there. It’s in your best interest to do your homework and thoroughly weigh every pro and con of each financial institution.

Obviously the best kind of introductory or promotional rate you are going to find is one that is 0.00%. Introductory offers like this can last anywhere from 3 months to 12 months. However they can extend longer than that, but its not too common. Instead of continuing to use your current card you should look into getting one with a promotional APR like this. It will save you an untold amount of money over the course of time it lasts. After a year or so, when it ends, simply switch companies once again - and get a new $0.00 APR. This is of course if you keep your credit in good condition. As we mentioned in our previous articles you will have to read the fine print of the program you are interested in.

If you are interested in finding offers like these the first place you can check is right here at Kaile’s. It is our long term goal to review the best offers that are currently available online. It’s nice to have a place to compare them side by side. This will help you weigh out your options and aid you in making the best decision that fits your personal and financial needs.

With gas prices on the constant rise in the U.S. and worldwide gasoline credit cards are becoming more and more popular these days. You may be able to off-set some your additional expenses by signing up for a gasoline incentive program. Another benefit to using a gas card is the ability to track your gasoline spending habits. This can be a valuable tool that will enable you to factor this information into your budget.

Generally there are two different types of gasoline programs. The first kind of card we will be discussing is one that is offered directly from the gasoline company (like Shell and Exon). These type of cards are ideal for the person who wants to control and budget his/her gasoline expenses (as mentioned). By becoming a member you may also end up getting a discount and paying less for gasoline. This is not always the case, but don’t be surprised if you run into this.

To find out which ones offer discounted gasoline you may want to search around for the best gasoline credit card deals. If the company offers a discount they will normally advertise it along with their card, so it should be easy to find. These kind of cards are similar to mainstream ones as you may have to pay annual or monthly fee’s, and you are also subject to the companies interest rate. You will be restricted to buying gas and in store items only - so make sure their are enough store specific gas stations in your area. These types of programs are normally easier to obtain than traditional cards.

The other type is the gasoline reward card - which functions as an incentive program. Many companies are starting to provide gasoline as an incentive - due to the overwhelming rise of prices in gas worldwide. This functions the same way other incentive cards do - the more you spend the more points you earn. Your points can then be converted into gasoline. These points will add up over time and thus you have earned free gas. These kind of programs are generally geared toward people who have a solid credit history - it will be a lot harder to get accepted into one if you have less than perfect credit. The rates on these cards vary but you can usually find a good introductory rate if you look hard enough. In our modern day gasoline programs have the best credit card deals you can find.

When you are making your decision you should consider the pro’s and cons of both types. It would be a good idea to track your gasoline spending habits for the next month or so. As a side note - store specific cards normally require you to pay your balance in full each month. So if you are not bringing in a stable income I would not recommend this - instead you should go with the other option. Hopefully by now you should have a good idea as to whether this is the type of program for you.

So now that you’ve read through our previous articles and have researched the best credit card deals you are wondering the best way to sort through and compare the interest rates. If you have spent a good deal of time gathering card offers than this may seem complicated. I must admit that it can take you a few hours to go through and evaluate all of your options. You really should take the time to sit down and do this to avoid frustration down the road. In this article we will be discussing exactly how to do just that.

You should take the time to look through and jot down the information provided to you by the credit card company. This will make it much easier to compare rates. In order to do this effectively you will need to know exactly where to look and what to look out for. If you are doing your research online than be sure to bookmark the pages. If you have the promotional material in hand this will be a little easier as you have everything right in front of you - for easy comparison. In order for you to find the best credit card deals you must understand what an annual percentage (APR) is and what it entails.

The annual percentage rate is the interest that the credit card companies charge you based on your credit card’s balance each and every single year. If you read the fine print of most of cards out there you will see that this is subject to change at anytime based on various factors, including your credit rating. So when you are going through the credit card deals and comparing them to one another you will mainly be comparing the APR of each card to one another. When you are doing this make sure you are not only comparing the promotional rate - but also the normal annual rate after the promotion has ended.

Many people are fooled into believing they will always have the promotional APR they signed up with. This is not true. You must find out exactly how long the promotional rate lasts and the APR that will follow it. The APR is required by law to be disclosed to the consumer but many people seem to skip past this. They word these disclosures very carefully and almost always put them in small print. You must read through the fine print carefully! If you don’t understand something than just ask someone to help you.

If you are looking at online credit card offers than a brief overview of the fine print & APR disclosure will usually be at the bottom of the web site. Normally there will be an entire disclosure page you can click through to - to read everything. They will also list any other fee’s that are associated with the card.

Don’t be one of the many people’s that are fooled into believing the promotional APR is permanent. On the flip side don’t ignore the promotional rate either - it can offer you short term benefits if you are planning on making frequent (or large purchases). The most common promo rates last between 3 months to 6 months, but there are always some that extend longer than this. Other things to look out for are activation fee’s and processing fee’s. If you have good credit you should not have to pay for those kinds of fee’s, so avoid them. If you have bad or less than perfect credit fee’s like this will probably apply to you - just make sure you are not paying too much.

Unsecured credit cards have many advantages if you are someone who makes frequent purchases. In most cases, if you have good credit, an unsecured line is the best (and most common) way to go. With these types of cards you do not need a security deposit and you do not have to open any kind of savings account. With a little bit of online research you should be able to find the perfect program that meets all of your financial needs. As with any credit card the interest rate is what you should be judging. This is fairly easy to do now a days. You also need to look out for any hidden & annual fees that may apply. While this is a disadvantage on some cards - its not always as bad as it may seem. You should be able to search and find the exact kind of program that meets your needs regardless of minor credit problems (unless you have really horrible credit).

There are many things that affect the amount of interest you will end up paying. Some things that factor into this are your credit history, amount of current debt, and personal income. In a perfect scenario you should generally choose a card that offers a very low interest rate. You want the lowest rate you can possible find. If you are looking for these types than please consider looking at some of the best credit card deals we have reviewed. You also need to keep an eye on the annual percentage rate, which is commonly referred to as APR. You should compare the APR of various companies to find the best credit card deals that match your financial situation. When comparing you should keep in mind that the lower your APR is the less you will be paying in interest for each payment period.

Once again, in the perfect scenario the credit card you choose will charge you interest based on a very low APR. If your credit is less than perfect than you may (and probably will) have to pay additional fee’s. Let me just be clear, there is a difference between having less than perfect credit and horrible credit. If your credit is not horrible, yet not great than you will fit into this category. If you have really bad credit than just forget trying to get an unsecured credit card for now. Go with a secured instead, to help you establish better credit - do this for 1 year and then try to get an unsecured line.

Take your time when searching for credit card deals and don’t rush into applying. Every time you apply for a different line of credit - it will effect your credit score.

Reward cards are pretty easy to understand yet they are so diverse and it can get confusing at times. Reward credit cards usually offer some type of incentive or bonus points depending on how much you spend. Normally most of these types of cards have higher interest rates - but thats not always the case. If you were to compare the interest rates between regular cards and reward cards you will be able to see the generalized difference. These types are not for everyone and may end up costing you more despite what all of the sales hype may say.

Its a good thing if you are earning cash back, airline miles, or free products - but is the interest rate costing you more than the rewards? You need to take that into very careful consideration when hunting for credit card deals. Just make sure you know what you are getting into before you sign up for anything. While researching you should note down the specific interest rate and reward programs. Get a calculator out and break down all of the number based off of your spending habits. This should help you determine whether or not a rewards credit card is the way to go.

This doesn’t mean all reward cards are bad. There are many benefits to having a card like this. They all differ and some may offer you things like free points (usually redeemable at participating stores/restraunts), free items, gas, airline miles, etc. A lot of stores are starting to offer their own VISA & MASTERCARD credit cards and they normally offer rewards at their specific store only.

If you already know the bank you want to get credit with (such as Wachovia or Bank Of America) than you may be able to choose the type of rewards for your specific card. A lot of times banks will offer brochures that allow you to grab, mix, and match the type of rewards that fit your lifestyle. Before you start researching the different credit card deals out there, make sure you read and go through everything in the fine print.

When looking into secure credit cards make sure you read the fine print very carefully. Secured cards carry many benefits if you have bad credit or have many financial problems in your life. You really should look into getting one if you are interested in re-establishing your credit. Most secured cards require that you make a security deposit before you are actually issued a card. Keep in mind that it is different than a prepaid credit card because the companies will report to the credit companies most of the time. Having a card like this you can eliminate most of the risks that a card company would have taken into consideration before granting you credit with them.

There are a large amount of banks and lenders who are offering secured credit cards these days. If you don’t read the fine print you may end up with a company that charges you outraged yearly and monthly fees. Make sure you are on the look out and read the fine print before you decide to sign up for one. If you are going to sign up for a secured card you should do your homework and read through some of the reviews we plan on posting here at Kaile’s Credit Card Deals.

You should really do your homework and find out exactly how secured cards work and how they can be most useful to you. They are similar yet different from the other cards out there. As mentioned they normally require you to provide a security deposit or to open up a savings account with them. When you make a deposit it guarentee’s the company that they will not lose money on granting you credit. This helps them tremendously in our bad economic times. You still should be able to find decent credit card deals even with secured credit (if you look hard enough).

Your credit limit is normally determined by the amount of money you make for a deposit. Although a number of credit card companies do offer credit that is actually higher than the amount deposited. A lot of times the company will grant you a higher limit after being with them for over 6 months to a year. This of course does not apply to every company, but they are out there.

We will be reviewing some of the secured credit card companies that are out their. Please take the time to browse through the reviews we should already have up. If you do enough research I’m sure you will be able to find the perfect credit card deals for you.
